This is an internship opportunity in Metro’s Systemwide Planning / Transit Corridors team where we are working on the business process to manage transit assets. The intern will assist us in analyzing life cycle costs, funding scenarios, workforce planning and business process improvement. We are looking for a student interested in these or related areas, with good communication skills and who is comfortable and proficient in working with spreadsheets, access databases, power point and enterprise systems (financial, accounting) and additionally help out on transit corridor planning studies.
To be considered you need to be a full time student (or accepted into a full time program this fall working toward a degree in a related discipline). Internship is during the school year and can extend into the summer. candidates will be enrolled in an undergraduate program in in Industrial/Systems/Engineering Economics/management science or Civil Engineering (or related program), urban planning, economics or in a graduate program in Urban/Transportation Planning, Public Administration, Engineering Management (with undergrad degree in related area such as Industrial/Systems/Eng Economics/Operations Research/Civil Eng) program or other closely related program. Students must be full time . Must have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal in English and must have legal status to work in the USA.
