Gerald Church is currently Program Manager, Energy Services, for
California Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC.) He recently
participated in the development of a business model linking
manufacturing process improvements to marginal cost reductions
including energy savings per unit of output. The new tool is called
Value and Energy Stream Mapping (VeSM) and has been evaluated under a
local energy efficiency program sponsored by Southern California
Edison.
In 2004 Gerald served as managing consultant on a Los Angeles
Department of Water and Power project. This work was recognized with
the 2004 Association of Energy Engineers Project of the Year award.
Gerald has a broad range of manufacturing experience including metals,
textiles, food, plastics, and distribution industries. Before joining
CMTC, he worked in a number of high tech service sectors including
Geophysics and Geochemistry. Gerald holds a BA in Biology from
Stanford University and an MBA from the University of La Verne where
he has taught courses in Business Operations and Supply Chain Management.
